DHSITE
Digital Humanities Summer Institute : Technologies East (known as DHSITE) is a summer research institute hosted by the Digital Humanities sector in the Faculty of Arts. Launched in 2017, DHSITE is the only bilingual DH summer school in Canada and has featured micro-course workshops on data mining, text analysis, programming, encoding, linked data, visualization, 3D printing, and more. In addition to these offerings, the week-long event also features keynote speakers, round table discussions and community engagement panels that offer opportunities for attendees to engage in critical dialogue around about issues in DH research and teaching. DHSITE has garnered national attention and has been invited to be part of the Canadian Digital Humanities Certificate program coordinated through St. Francis Xavier University.
